TECHNICAL COMPLIANCE & PQC VALIDATION
The Shield: Securing Infrastructure Against Federal Mandates.
PSQ provides the technical validation and cryptographic auditing required to satisfy the dual layers of oversight governing the energy sector: Federal Mandates and State Operational Standards.
I. Federal Oversight (Post-Quantum Mandates) - All operators within U.S. critical infrastructure are subject to emerging federal requirements regarding cryptographic transparency and quantum-readiness.
NIST FIPS-203/204: The mandatory technical standard for transitioning legacy infrastructure to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
OMB M-23-02: Requires the submission of a Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM) for all software and hardware assets utilized in critical operations.
NIST CSF & 800-53: The foundational cybersecurity frameworks that govern encryption, access control, and data integrity for energy telemetry.
II. State Operational Standards (Basin-Specific) - While federal mandates govern the Digital Armor, state agencies oversee the Operational Shield. PSQ aligns its discovery process with the specific requirements of regional regulatory bodies:
Illinois Basin (IL, IN, KY):
Validation focused on legacy well-head telemetry and environmental safety standards as enforced by the IDNR (Illinois), DNR (Indiana), and the Kentucky Division of Oil and Gas.
Permian & Anadarko (TX, NM, OK):
Scalable audit workflows designed to satisfy the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), the NMOCD, and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC).
Offshore & Deepwater: Alignment with the BSEE and U.S. Coast Guard cybersecurity and subsea safety requirements for the Gulf of Mexico.
III. Independent Validation
PSQ acts as a certified third-party validator, bridging the gap between internal telemetry data and external regulatory submission. Our Validation Legions utilize the IBM CBOMkit and our proprietary Discovery Engine to provide the objective proof of compliance required by state and federal mandates.
